Qafqaz University was awarded with "International Arch of Europe" prize in golden category
In the 38th International Convention organized by Business Initiative Directions
(B.I.D.), held in Germany Frankfurt between April 29-30 of 2012, Qafqaz
University was awarded with the International Arch of Europe (IAE) prize in
golden category. B.I.D. is currently the most important private organization in
the world presenting a Quality Award on the basis of principles as solid as
those of the Deming in Japan, the Baldrige in the U.S., or the EFQM in
Europe. B.I.D. is professionally related with companies in different countries
whose products and services help position them as leaders that put special
emphasis on investing in innovation, technology, training and development.
B.I.D. has an international structure of experts in business communication,
formed by engineers, physicists, mathematicians, economists, psychologists,
journalists, designers and architects who also research great segments of public
and private information sources, such as the media, publications, advertising,
trade fairs and exhibitions, consultancy companies, universities,
etc.
The decision to award Qafqaz University was made by the IAE Selection Committee which is based on the criteria of the principles of the QC100 Total Quality Management (TQM) model which highlights different categories such as: a. Customer Satisfaction; b. Communication Strategies; c. Benchmarking; d. Information and Data Analysis; e. Leadership; f. Planning and Decision-making; g. Human Resources; h. Continuing Education and Training; i. Processes and Production; j. Financial Outcome; k. Business Results; l. ISO 9000; m. TQM.
The selection committee of B.I.D selects nominees for International Arch of Europe Award (IAE) on the basis of voting. Companies awarded in previous years have the privilege of voting for companies that they know or refer. The voting process is carried out among all the participating previous awardeesare which is strictly confidential, in that the exact source of nomination of candidates and results of voting cannot be revealed. Confidential voting is made by by presidents, managers and management personnel of companies and organizations oriented towards quality and who you to merit this award. Companies awarded are composed of large and medium corporations, organizations and professionals belonging to the sectors of insurance, banking, aviation, automobile and heavy vehicle manufacturing, ship builders, sea ports, petrochemicals, metallurgy, mining, building materials, construction, telecommunications, computer industry, electricity, agriculture, civil engineering, transportation, airlines, food and beverage industry, medicine and pharmaceuticals, furniture, plastics, department store chains, real estate, hotels and tourism, communication media such as television, radio and newspapers, textile, fashion and jewelry, educational centers, security, water management, and printing.
The Ceremony were attended by companies from 70 countries, together with leaders from different business spheres, professionals from the worlds of economics, the arts and corporateimage, quality experts, as well as academic personalities and representatives from the diplomatic corps. In the international convention Qafqaz University was represented by the rector himself Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sanic. The overall convention event was brought to light by ImarPress media corporation and 26 media publications.
