The latest mobile technology in the world - 4G (LTE) lab has been opened at Qafqaz University

For the first time Azercell will conduct an experiment over 4G here.
Today the latest mobile technology in the world - 4G (LTE) lab has been opened at Qafqaz University. The 4G (LTE) lab established by Azercell Telecom LLC has been formed after the discussions and consultations with Qafqaz University according to the students' requests and proposals. This lab is the special present from Azercell to Qafqaz University and in this lab 2G (GSM), 3G (WCDMA / UMTS) and 4G (LTE) radio base stations which are the last three generations of technology in mobile connection were established. This is the first laboratory not only in Azerbaijan, generally in the region which is equipped with so technology. The fourth-generation LTE technology is considered a high-speed mobile Internet and providing access to the network it allows 100 Mb transfer of information in per second. This is the experiment system supplied by Ericsson Company. Taking into account that 4G technologies were applied to the limited circle in the world, it is possible to imagine how important this system is. The other main importance of this lab is that, for the first time Azercell will conduct an experiment over 4G at Qafqaz University. On the other hand, such a laboratory creates great possibilities for the students of Qafqaz University. Therefore, with the help of technology, different content and new services will be established for the talented young people. Taking part in the opening ceremony of the laboratory, Ali Agan, the president of Azercell Telecom LLC thanked to Qafqaz University staff for the cooperation.  He said; I also express my deep concern for the Azercell Telecoms employees who contributed to the establishment of this difficult work.  This room is not just a novelty, as well as it is a symbol of the importance we give to the professional development of our staff and to strengthen skills of application of theoretical knowledge in education, most importantly preparation of competent and experienced engineers in our country.
Azercell Telecom LLC never stops its support to the development of education in Azerbaijan, preparation of skilled personnel. Amongst the social projects supported by the company, education especially training of professional cadres in the telecommunication field is given special attention.  It is necessary to note that, there are several years of effective cooperation between Qafqaz University and Azercell Telecom. Within the framework of the company's Barama project, Qafqaz University students conducted effective research. However, University students take part in the Azercell’s Student Scholarship Program. The company's experts just only implementing trainings for Qafqaz University students for New Generation Technology.

Ən yüksək keçid balı Qafqaz Universitetinin birinci qrupuna daxil olan kompüter mühəndisliyi ixtisasındadır

Tələbə Qəbulu üzrə Dövlət Komissiyası (TQDK) 2011-2012-ci tədris ili üçün tələbə qəbulu ilə bağlı elmi-statistik təhlilin nəticələrini açıqlayıb. TQDK sədri Məleykə Abbaszadə bildirib ki, bu il ali təhsil müəssisələrinə qəbul imtahanlarında 5433 abtituriyent 500-dən, o cümlədən 1540 abitruiyent 600-dən yuxarı bal toplayıb. M.Abbaszadə abituriyentləri yüksək nəticələr göstərən bölgələrin də müəyyənləşdiyini qeyd edib. Onun sözlərinə bunlar əsasən respublikanın 72 bölgəsini təmsil edir. “Bakı, Sumqayıt, Naxçıvan şəhərləri, o cümlədən Qax, Ordubad, Qəbələ, İsmayıllı rayonlarından ali məktəblərə imtahan verən abituriyentlərin bal göstəriciləri yüksək olub. Bu bölgələrdən ali təhsil müəssislərinə sənəd verən hər 100 nəfər gəncin 6-9-u imtahanlarda 500-dən yuxarı bal toplayır. Bu göstəricidə rayonlar üzrə Qax liderlik edir.
